Giving Back
At CP Group Tasmania, we believe true success is measured by how we support the people and communities around us.

Mission
We’re proud to be part of the Tasmanian community, and giving back is a responsibility we actively embed into how we operate. Guided by our core values of integrity, accountability, and collaboration, we are committed to creating meaningful impact beyond our day-to-day work.

Through supporting local charities, sponsoring community initiatives, and contributing our time where it’s needed most, we aim to build strong, lasting relationships and be a trusted partner within our community.

CP Group also delivers an annual Social Outcomes Calendar, where each month is dedicated to a focused initiative. This structured approach ensures our efforts are intentional, consistent, and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve—allowing us to contribute in a way that is both practical and impactful

March
Supporting Skills, Creating Opportunity
In March, CP Group Tasmania focused on supporting employment pathways through our partnership with Nexus, contributing to programs that help individuals build practical skills and access meaningful work opportunities. This initiative reflects our commitment to creating long-term, positive outcomes within the communities we serve.

As part of this effort, we donated a range of trade tools and equipment to support participants entering lawn mowing and property maintenance programs. By providing access to the right resources, we help remove barriers to employment and create opportunities for hands-on learning in a supportive environment.

A key part of this initiative was welcoming a participant from the Seed Program for work experience with our team. What began as an opportunity to gain exposure and build confidence quickly grew into something more—resulting in full-time employment. It’s outcomes like this that reinforce the importance of creating genuine pathways, not just short-term support.

This approach ensures our involvement goes beyond a one-off contribution. It reflects a broader commitment to building capability, confidence, and independence, while supporting stronger employment outcomes and more stable communities across Southern Tasmania.

April
Easter Community Support
In April, CP Group Tasmania is partnering with Pickle Plumbing & Gas to support Foodbank Tasmania, recognising the increasing cost-of-living pressures impacting many individuals and families across our community.

Together, our teams are contributing through both company support and employee donations, coming together to provide essential non-perishable items to those who need it most. This collective effort reflects the strength of our people and our shared commitment to giving back in a practical and meaningful way.

By working alongside Foodbank Tasmania, we are helping to ensure more households have access to basic necessities during a time of increased financial strain. It’s a simple but important way we can support our community and stand alongside those doing it tough.
May
Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

In May, we are proud to be taking part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea by hosting a site-wide morning tea across our workplace.

This event brings our teams together in support of the Cancer Council, helping to raise vital funds for cancer research, prevention, and support services. To amplify the impact, CP Group and Pickle will be matching all funds raised during the event.

Alongside the morning tea, we are also encouraging staff to prioritise their wellbeing by taking part in health check-ins throughout the month. These check-ins are a simple but important way to stay proactive about personal health and wellbeing.

We look forward to coming together as a community, sharing morning tea, supporting a meaningful cause, and strengthening our focus on
health—both individually and as a workplace.

June
CEO Sleepout
In June, our focus turns to housing and homelessness, as we support the Vinnies CEO Sleepout—a powerful initiative that raises awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness.
This cause is especially meaningful for us, as it directly aligns with the mission of Homes Tasmania and comes at a time when winter can significantly increase hardship for vulnerable members of our community.

Members of our senior leadership team will be taking part in the CEO Sleepout, spending a night outdoors to better understand the challenges faced by those without secure housing. Across the business, we will be encouraging staff to get involved and show their support, with CP Group and Pickle Plumbing matching all staff contributions to maximise our collective impact.

Throughout the month, we will also be reinforcing the importance of respect and empathy in our day-to-day work. Our toolbox talks will focus on supporting tenants experiencing hardship, ensuring we continue to approach every interaction with understanding, dignity, and care.

We look forward to coming together to support this important cause, raise awareness, and strengthen our commitment to the communities we serve—particularly during the colder months when support is needed most.
July
Apprentice & Trade Pathways
In June, our focus shifts to Apprentice and Trade Pathways Month, as we highlight the importance of building strong futures in the trades and supporting the next generation of skilled workers across our industry.
This month-long focus reflects our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful career pathways and strengthening the long-term capability of the housing and construction sector in Tasmania. Skilled trades play a vital role in delivering quality services to our communities, and we are proud to help foster interest and opportunity in these essential careers.
As part of our activities, we are partnering with TasTAFE to deliver a Trade Awareness Session, designed to provide insights into the range of apprenticeship and trade pathways available. This session will help participants better understand the opportunities within the sector and the steps needed to begin a career in the trades.
In addition, we are pleased to be offering a work experience placement, giving a participant the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the industry and valuable insight into day-to-day work across our operations.
Throughout the month, we will also be encouraging conversations across our teams about mentoring, skills development, and the importance of supporting apprentices as they begin their careers. By sharing knowledge and experience, we can help build confidence and capability in the next generation of tradespeople.
We look forward to supporting Apprentice and Trade Pathways Month and continuing to invest in the people who will shape the future of our industry and the communities we serve.
